About

I am a almost 50 yr old housewife, currently living in the US but originally from London, England.

I trained as a painter, beginning at Camberwell School of Arts Saturday morning classes for school children when I was 16.  I did a foundation year at Camberwell before doing a BA (hons) at Bath Academy of Art.  Art school left me very disillusioned about the art world and basically stopped being creative for a long long time.

Shortly after leaving college, I met my husband and in the next few years we had 3 kids together.  Being a full-time mum was very important to me and it also began to spark that creative streak in me. Over the years I have done all sorts of crafty things and some painting.  In the early 90’s I did an art therapy diploma which unfortunately didn’t lead to any work but it did unleash a me I had never seen before.

Now my kids are going to college and leaving home, I am determined to continue to explore my creative energy and this blog is about that force.

Jacqui, I think I am also lost in Plfugerville >smile< I have been trying to find me for a long time. Beads are the medium that allows me to create as I have always wanted/needed to even tho I have no formal education in Art
I look forward to seeing more of what your creative energy leads you to create…

    Hi Jacqui,
Thanks so much for visiting and your lovely comments.
Your right I didn’t go to art college, which is a regret in some ways because I’m always worried my work is not valid,If that makes sense.
I can’t live with out being creative so I just do my own thing!
I’m glad I joined the embellisher group now, it’s great to meet you.x
